3) Mizoram sorkhar rau je skamhamya rau Bru no mthoimo nouhbrouh rau no bu keha ni Rs. 5,00,000 (5 lakhs) khe ri ye, phi brau no nouh boii sorkhar chakri keha ri ni ong thou.

4) Nouh sauyauhnai, nouh ruyauhnai, bai sompoti seih layauhnai rau no sauhphra compensation Rs. 1,00,000 ri thou.  Skamhamya rau bai je butouh khe yauhnai rau no khe Rs.50,000 lah ri ni ong thou.

5) Skam rau bai seih layauhmo Bru ni jaga suh bu bagra thih no pherau ye ri phi ni ong thou.

6) Je Electoral roll nching ye mmung khoiyauhnai rau no bu purnobar  mmung toisa ye ri phi ni ong thou.

A Memorandum Of the Mizoram Bru (Riang) Refugee 11.6.1998

On 11.06.98 eight representatives of Riang met the Chief Minister and other leaders of Mizoram Government wherein a senior officer from the Home Ministry was also present Demands of Riang leaders are as under- 

(1) Mizoram Government and Central Government jointly to decide setting up of Riang Autonomous District Council over the area inhabited by them inside Aizawl District.

(2) On return of Riang refugees to their respective villages in Mizoram State Government and Central Government should post adequate contingents of Central Security Forces to create an environment where they could peacefully pursue their normnal activities.

(3) Mizoram Government to give compensation of Rs 5,00,000/- to each of those Riang families who have lost a life in the recent communal riot further, Government to provide employment to one member in such of those families.

(4) Those whose houses were burnt down or damaged or whose properties were looted should be compensated with Rs.1,00,000/ the injured should be given Rs.50,000/- each.

(5) A conspiracy appears to have been hatched to evict Riangs from Mizoram, the land and dwellings unlawfully encroached upon by Mizo should be restored to the Riang owners.

(6) Names of Riang members deleted from the electoral rolls should be invariably restored. 

(7) On their return to Mizoram, State Government should formulate schemes for speedy development of Riang and create reservations for employment.

(8) Three Assembly constituencies should be reserved for minority Riang Scheduled Tribe.

 (9) State Government to give free rations for sex months to Riang (10) State Government to give Rs.50,000/- to each family of Riang returnees returnees.

(11) Adequate compensation should be given for Hindu temples dam- aged by Mizos for their restoration.
